Management and Leadership Academies

We have just concluded phase 1 of a project to identify and bring together a consortium of specialist SMEs engaged in delivering high quality training and coaching for managers and executives powered by Virtua Academy technology. Phase 2 will concentrate on feasibility and early adopter programmes to minimise risk and development costs, with first launch planned for January 2009.

Middle East virtual academies

We continue to forge ahead with our research into setting up virtual academies in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, in partnership with Trescom Research. This is a wide-ranging programme including virtual TEFL and ESOL, management skills (CMI) and marketing skills (CIM) and women-in-business projects. We are still on target for launches in 2009 with full academic release for September 2009.

Business Support and Development activities

Since July 2007 we have increasingly become involved in community and business development activities locally in Yorkshire and Humberside, nationally across the UK and, increasingly, in "New Europe" and the Middle East. These exciting adventures focus on developing sustainable businesses using either a Social Enterprise model or commercial enterpreneurialism. They include supporting special needs communities as well as those communities who are just starting on the road to economic self-sufficiency. Much of this is behind the scenes stuff but we are keen to share our experiences with like-minded individuals (e.g. in LINGOs) everywhere. Just contact us.....

Women in Business for UK, Europe and Gulf states

Learning Leadership is actively developing a joint project with Trescom Research and selected partners to develop and deliver Women in Business virtual academies, initially in Saudi Arabia. We started researching the services in August 2007 but necessarily needed to keep much of the activity confidential until we had identified the service components, target audiences / territories and potential partners. This is a long-term project, with the next phase being Phase 3 desk and field research. As with the Social Enterprise Programme....more soon.
